Odell Butte

All six of us, along with skis and packs, loaded into Bob Dark’s roomy van for a very nice ride up to the base of Odell Butte. We started the upward 5-mile trek on skis at 10:15 a.m. and after three hours arrived at the sunny summit. The clear sky afforded us a nice vista while we enjoyed our lunch in a balmy 55 degrees F. The 1½-mile downhill run was effortless all the way back to the van. In the group that enjoyed this trip were Norm Benton, Lyn Cole, Tim Cook, Bob Dark, Debi Noel, and Jerry Crosby (leader).
