Gold Lake

January 15, 1989

Six people had signed up for the trip but by Saturday evening two had cancelled and three new skiers had called to be included. Sunday morning brought “no show” time so four of us took off for beautiful snow country. Sixteen inches of new snow blanketed trees and trail; some early risers had broken trail and made the downhill run in to the lake pure pleasure. We continued on the trail around the lake a short distance as Zeb eagerly broke trail, and settled for lunch in the open by the lake. The uphill trek on the way out was wonderful with steady, softly falling snow. A perfect day and trip — enjoyed by Zeb Bianco, Dot Leland, Betty Macy and Vi Johnson (leader).
