The trip to Black Butte was changed to Lillian Falls because of rain and the low freezing level
in the Oregon Cascades.
Even though it showered most of the day, our group of six had a fun day hiking into Lillian Falls
up the Black Creek Trail on the west side of Waldo Lake.
We enjoyed lunch between showers at the camping area adjacent to Salon Creek Falls.
The fall foliage was very colorful and we agreed that we thoroughly enjoyed our alternative
destination on a beautiful autumn Saturday.
Participants were Bob Foster, Gary Marx, Betty Staeck, Gene Thaxton, Lanelda Watts
and Joe Lowry (leader).
