Waldo Lake Canoe Trip

September 9-10, 1989

We left Eugene 8 a.m. — left North Waldo boat ramp at 10 a.m. — blue sky and strong east winds. Rode 3-foot high waves to outlet bay where we camped as we couldn’t get to our pre-selected camp site. In p.m. we hiked to Round Lake and Upper Eddeeleo Lake — 4-mile round trip. Sunday dawned bright and less wind — a.m. hiked 2½ miles to Elbow Lake and in p.m. worked our way home on a calm, placid lake. On Waldo Lake were Mary Christoferson, Leona Devine, Donna Eimstad, John McManigal and leader Bill Eimstad.
