Fawn LakeJune 24, 1989Sandra and I scouted out the Grizzly Peak Trail, found the rhodies and bear grass at Pamelia Lake gorgeous but the Grizzly Peak Trail snowed in. So we changed our destination to Fawn Lake. The trail from Odell Lodge was very comfortable except for several downed trees and an impromptu pool that we had to skirt. At Fawn Lake we ate lunch in the sunshine, after which the women in the group cooled off by wading in the lake. There were some bugs but not enough to disturb the congeniality of Norm Benton, Sharon Ritchie, Bart Sarzynski, Dave White and co-leaders Sandra Larsen and Jan White. |
