Tire Mountain

June 4, 1989

The party left Eugene about 8 a.m., picked up the leader at Lowell and drove to the trailhead, one of them that is, for the Alpine Trail. It was a beautiful, warm, sunny day and the view from the meadows we crossed along the Alpine Trail was superb. Wildflowers were blooming quite profusely all along the way. We reached the top and were ready for lunch about 12:15 p.m. After an hour of lunch and enjoyment of the top we started back down. Reached the cars about 3:30 p.m. and started back for town. Tire Mountain hikers were Susan Baker, Clair Cooley, Lewis Forsythe, Rachele Noto Fiszman, David Radile, Lois Schreiner, Karen Seidel and Helen Smith (leader).
