Clear Lake Loop

On a beautiful May morning, eighteen Obsidians and friends met at the parking lot and re-grouped
at Sahalie Falls parking lot for a hike around Clear Lake.
We started out on the spur trail from the falls to the McKenzie River Trail and followed it around
the east side of the lake with a snack stop at the headwaters of the McKenzie.
After Fred discovered the new trail around the west side (which had disappeared behind great
quantities of brush), we continued on to the Three Sisters viewpoint where we lunched.
Fisherpersons on the lake weren’t having much luck, and Bob discovered why — all the fish
were hiding under the bridge at the south end of Clear Lake.
