Creswell LoopApril 30, 1989We left SEHS parking lot at 10:00 a.m. under cloudy skies, expecting the day to improve according to the weather forecast. We climbed Dillard Hill with no problem and got glimpses of the Sisters and perhaps Bachelor (?) at the summit. Zoomed down the other side to Hwy. 99 and down to the Creswell Dairy Queen at 11:30 to beat the “church crowd.” Shirley Froyd and Paula Moffitt and her children joined us there for treats. Our promised sunshine turned out to be raindrops as we rode home on Cloverdale and Mathews Roads, Seavey Loop and Franklin Blvd. to the river bike paths in Springfield where we proceeded to our various homes. Cycling were Genie Currier, Bob Devine, Gunther Furnsteiner, Dick Moffitt, Royal Murdock, Pat Sterling and leader Rose Marie Moffitt. |
