Eula RidgeApril 9, 1989One could not have asked for a better day for hard hiking. The Eula Ridge Trail, true to its reputation except for a few new switchbacks and a new log bridge, is still the same. Leaving the trailhead at 9 a.m., we made very good time ascending the mountain. One late hiker ascended Hardesty and we met at the top at 11:30 in time for lunch at 12:00. Afterwards, and true to an Obsidian’s nature, we decided to go over to Sawtooth Rock, arriving at 2:00. It was a beautiful day, but not for picture taking. We arrived back at the trailhead at 5:45. Those hiking were Carol Harris, Bob Foster, Barbara Sihutz, Don Sullivan, John Corliss, and leader, Obsidian Scouter Rebecca Hansen. |
