Bandon BeachMarch 26, 1989It is a three-hour drive to Bandon from the South parking lot. The trip is well worth the effort; Bandon is lovely in sunshine or a storm. On March 26 it did both. The sun shone on the walkers and the storm arrived just before all returned to the vehicles. Dee Bray met the group in Bandon and having scouted out the direction of the wind suggested a walk from the south end of the town to the jetty as much on the beach as the incoming tide would allow. The wind and rain waited till afternoon; the storm was fun to watch from inside the car. Walkers included Bob Foster, Gladys Grancorvitz, Norma Jones, Teresa Ladd, Paula Prentice, and leaders Dee Bray, Maxine Hall and Mary Ellen West. |
