Gwynn Creek/Captain Cook’s RidgelineJanuary 22, 1989After watching it rain continuously for 24 hours the day before, the clear blue sky at sunrise was greeted with great relief and enthusiasm. Next question: What would the coast hold in store for us? It turned out to be a rare picture perfect day — warm sunshine! Linda Wagner quickly became our “view point designator.” She was kept very busy making sure we stopped to properly admire each vista. Lunch was enjoyed on the trail next to a rushing stream with sunshine filtering through the trees. A perfect hike on a perfect day was finalized with an obligatory stop at B.J.’s for low cal ice cream. Participants were Jerry Crosby, Gladys Grancorvitz, Corrine Hunt, Linda Wagner and Sharon Ritchie (leader). |
