Christmas Tree Hunt
December 17, 1988
There couldn’t have been a finer day to go Christmas Tree hunting.
On National Forest Land, just north of Fish Lake, we walked into an area where the timber had been
previously harvested and replanted with Douglas-fir and noble fir.
The snow was covered with a frozen crust making it easy to walk on the surface.
After carefully scrutinizing the available selection, we each chose a noble fir.
By noon it had become so pleasantly warm in the sunshine that we decided to take a walk.
We hiked up the Ikenick road a few miles and enjoyed the fine views of the snow covered peaks to
It was just like a spring day.
Our small group enjoying the fine weather included Suzanne Steussy and leader Dave Predeek.
