Blair LakeMarch 6, 1988Just when it looked like winter was over, the heavens opened and dropped 6 inches of fluffy white stuff. We skied the next day under mostly sunny skies through trees heavy with new fallen snow. Because of the high snow level, the destination was changed and instead of going to Blair Lake we followed Road 730 to Beal Prairie where there was ample snow and enough elevation gain for good views in all directions. A light snow hastened our departure after lunch but it turned out to be only a flurry that greased our tracks for an exhilarating run out. A most satisfying day for Gladys Grancorvitz, Mardi Klotz, Sandra Larsen, and leader Leona Devine. |
