Paulina Lake-Newberry Crater

February 7, 1988

Left Eugene promptly at 7 a.m., traveling to Central Oregon over highways that were bare of snow and ice, and skied to Paulina Lake on slopes that were almost bare of snow and ice! The beautiful Paulina Falls were only partially frozen this year. Soup at the Lodge was better than ever! This good group returned to Eugene at 5:30 p.m. Due to a lack of transportation, the sign-up sheet had to be severely limited to [the following skiers]: Doris Allen, Bea Fontana, Gladys Grancorvitz, Jane Hackett, Dot Leland, Jane Tucker, Ruth Wisner and Gene Thaxton (leader).
