Hoodoo-Little NashJanuary 17, 1988Sunday morning 23 skiers congregated for a cross-country ski trip to Little Nash Crater from the Hoodoo ski bowl parking lot. We passed through the “Notch” and out onto the burn area with 2 feet of soft snow. The sun was bright and the sky clear as we had lunch at Sand Mountain with a panoramic view of Mt. Washington, Jefferson and Three Fingered Jack. After lunch we bushwhacked through deep snow and trees to join up with a new logging road that leads to the Little Nash Crater parking lot. The skiers on this adventure were Doris Allen, Jerry Crosby, Linda Erz, Mary Fulton, Bea Fontana, Gladys Grancorvitz, Colette Gouan, Jane Hackett, Ingrid Hansen, Ed Kirchhoft, Dennis Lueck, Anne Montgomery, Dave Predeek, Ellen Platt, Bobbye Sorrels, Carol Stern, Joe Sarro, Annabelle Street, Callix Miller, John Meyers, Gene Thaxton, and Chris Shuraleff and Tom Donnelly (leaders). |
