Fall Creek Trail

October 30, 1988

A gorgeous Indian Summer Sunday bathed Fall Creek in splashes of brilliant sunlight contrasted by shady areas. Mushrooms abounded in the dark shady areas where moss and lichen draped trees created an eerie Halloween atmosphere. Don Sullivan led 19 hikers from Bedrock Campground to the upstream end of the Fall Creek Trail. The group was headed in the right direction on the trail by 11 a.m. Lunch was at a point where the trail crossed the paved road and lasted from 12:50 to 1:20. Fifteen hikers chose to lunch by the shady creek, while 5 hikers chose a sunny area away from the creek. The hike was finished by 3:30, and everyone was home by 4:30. Participants were Bernie Claypool, Genie Currier, Andrea Davis, Rachele Fiszman, Gladys Grancorvitz, Corinne Hunt, Mae Jackson, Mersha King, Philip Martin, Carrie McClish, Mary Millman, Robbi Packard, Robin Prentice, Alys Riley, Sharon Ritchie, Hans Schock, Joyce Strassberg, Darlene Thomasec, Mildred Wilson, and leader Don Sullivan.
