October 8, 1988
Ground level fog greeted our trip until about noon.
When it cleared it was a wonderful bright fall day.
The trail to Kentucky Falls is four miles round trip.
The trail is well maintained.
We had a surprise at the lower falls.
We found benches, stairs and decks which most of the group enjoyed, but I wonder if this is
what the Obsidians would encourage …
The view from Roman Nose was great even though haze prevented us from seeing too far
(perhaps 5 miles?).
It was exciting to see a hawk fly by below us by at least 500 feet.
Hikers were Carmen Antosh, Teresa Brown, Dorothy Burton, Bob Foster, Gladys Grancorvitz,
Miki Hutchison, Gwen Kingsley, Bob Thilehia, and Ted Briles (leader).
