The group arrived at the Rebel Rock Trailhead on F.S. Road 19, south of Hwy. 126, at about 11 a.m.
Conditions were excellent, but possibly slightly warm.
Both the Rebel Creek and Rebel Rock Trails are in excellent condition; it’s obvious that some
trail work has been done recently.
This is a difficult hike, with long and persistent ascents.
The trees are thick and old, however, and at the top the flowers seemed in full bloom.
We returned to the trailhead at about 6 p.m., tired but rewarded for our efforts.
Rebel Rockers were Jim Casby, Henrietta Richmond, Sharon Ritchie and Jerry Casby (leader).
