Carpenter MountainJune 25, 1988There was only a small sign-up for this trip. At the last moment we talked John and Jane Corliss into coming along. We started to the lookout at about 11 o’clock from the saddle. The weather was very calm, but lots of slash burning haze. The view of Wolf Rock from the summit of Carpenter is always good. The spring that is a short way off the trail is also still running very cold this time of year. It was a nice trip and the old lookout is still in pretty good shape. I didn’t make out summit certificates, but making the top were Steve and Liza Coleman (and their 11-month-old boy), John and Jane Corliss, Ralph Nafziger, and John McManigal (leader). |
