We received many favorable comments about the good food and the pleasant
time enjoyed by the ninety-seven adults and five children who attended the
Even I enjoyed it very much, despite the frustration of not having enough
people volunteer to help.
I did not intend for anyone to have to work for more than one hour or one
and a half hours, but those faithful few who did volunteer stuck with me for
All the dishwashing and cleaning up done by Marriner Orum, Janice Pattison
and Dave Predeek should have been shared by others.
Many thanks to all of those who were so generous with their time.
In the future: (1) more of you will have to “do your bit”,
(2) we will have to hire some student help, or (3) we will have to forget
about having the breakfast.
That would be a shame!
