Blair LakeMarch 28, 1987March 28th was a gorgeous day for our trip. Our four vehicles wound up the road to Blair Lake (northeast of Oakridge) until stopped by snow. Then it was gradually up, up, up about three miles to Blair Lake. We ate our lunches on the snowy shore of the lake and afterwards kibitzed three men fishing through the ice in the middle of the lake. Dot Leland caught a trout!! On the return trip we glided over the meadows and hillocks for the first mile, then down the road to our cars. The fifteen congenial skiers were Doris Allen, Jerry Crosby, Emmy Dale, Rachele Fiszman, Mary Fulton, Diane Jeffcott, Vi Johnson, Dot Leland, Henrietta Richmond, Ardys Ringsdorf, Bobbye Sorrels, Dave White, Ruth Wisner, with Dorothy Hayes substituting for Leona Devine as co-leader with Jan White. |
