Three CreeksFebruary 28, 1987It was a day of blue skies, sunshine and good snow, punctuated by frequent views of billowing clouds sliding down the side of snow-capped mountains. By lunch, the wind picked up some but we found shelter in the forested hillsides. The trip back down was felt to be one of the best “kick-and-glide” experiences of the season for most. Herb and Laurie took the express route (the road) and arrived back at the cars a good half-hour before the rest of us. All things considered, it was an exercise in extracting the best out of a great day – let’s do it again, soon! Skiers were Raejean Larson, Laurie Wright, Herb McMurtry, Richard Heinzkill, Ruth Wisner and Tim Cook, with periodic guidance provided by Tom Woxell. |
