After meeting at S.E.H.S. parking lot, we left for the Willamette Pass under high clouds,
arriving under partially sunny skies.
We started up for Rosary Lakes with 2" of new, dry powder under our skis.
As we were the first group up the trail, we had to break a new trail.
Halfway up I found that Ron had never been on XC skis before!
We arrived at Lower Rosary Lake with about 5" of new powder, and waited for Ron and Anne to arrive.
The group then headed for Upper Rosary Lake.
Arriving, we decided to continue up the trail and skied for another mile, then enjoyed the view
and returned to the Upper Lake for lunch.
We then headed back to the cars, and soon learned that most of the new powder had been pushed
out of the trail by other fellow skiers.
Most everybody fell at one time or another, and one person decided to walk out on the lower half.
Skiers were Norm Benton, Tim Cook, Ron Kovalik, Lyn La Grander, Herb McMurtry, Anne Montgomery,
and leader Joe Turner.
