Horsepasture Mountain

August 30, 1987

A moderately easy hike to beautiful panoramic view was enjoyed by large group. Flowers were almost gone but air was clear enough to see from Mt. Bailey to Mt. Hood. Lunch was eaten on top near the old lookout. In a wetter year this would be the best time, but with dry season like this year hike would be better if scheduled earlier for best flower viewing.

Even though the day was extremely hot it was a fun trip for Glenn Aplin, Jim Bishop, Kerrie Bishop, Tom Cawi, Merna Cawi, Paul Cohen, Karen Cohen, Colleen Colbert, Barb Elsen, Bob Foster, Doug Long, Mary Millman, Martha Moulton, Clarence Scherer, Dorothy Scherer, Frank Sumick, Ruth Sumick, Tom Wiesenfeld, Jean Chase and leader Donn Chase.
