Grizzly Peak ’87 was, as usual, both beautiful and satisfying.
Four Obsidians traveled in one car to the trailhead on Pamelia Road (off Hwy. 22) where we met
The easy trail to Pamelia Lake remains in good condition in spite of heavy use, and we enjoyed
the huge trees and brilliant greens.
Higher up, the waterfall is nearly dry and no rhodies in bloom, although the woods are lush
A splendid view from the site of the former lookout included Hood and the Sisters, as well as a
face to face with Mt. Jefferson.
