The Obsidian Loop-Arrowhead Lake hiking group made the auto ride to Frog Camp, and after brief
introductions started up the trail.
We felt fortunate to have blue skies and sunshine on this Saturday morning.
The lupine and paint-brush were very colorful.
Most of our lunch was eaten at Arrowhead Lake.
With clouds gathering and a threat of rain we soon started the return trip.
One of our group became ill and had to be carried out from White Branch Creek.
The rescue was successfully carried out thanks to Tom Wells, a paramedic on our hike; two young men
climbing in the area, a doctor from Portland hiking on the trail, a deputy sheriff and medical team
who came from Sisters with an ambulance, and the rest of the hiking group.
Those on the hike were Glen Aplin, Bob Devine, Barbara Elsen, Judith Enale, Bob Foster, Mae Jackson,
Carrie McClish, Lindsay Pierce, Karen Seidel, Zudegi Tala, Linda and Tom Wells,
and Harold Busby (leader).
