Unique Slide Show

The Unique Slide Show featured three Obsidians who volunteered with a little elbow bending. Helen Lynch’s slides of her trip to Bali were highlighted with a cremation, a religious celebration on the beach. A Sierra Club bike trip led by Doris Allen showed many bikers eating and pedaling with heavy loads. John Jacobsen presented his slides of the climb of Mt. St. Helens. It was an entertaining way for Obsidians—climbers, bikers, and hikers—to share their trips with each other. Let’s do it again next year. We especially want to thank the “Unique Three” for digging out their slides for us.

A special thanks to Fred Schepman who opened up the lodge at 4 p.m. to make the fire and set up tables. Karen Cohen organized the kitchen and other details of the meeting. Ethel and Suzanne Steussy, Gladys Grancorvitz also assisted in the kitchen. In order for these potlucks to happen at 6:30 volunteer help is needed in the lodge ahead of time. If you could help out, call Jane Hackett to assist with the April meeting or call Vera Woolley to help with the May meeting.
