Hayrick ButteMarch 16, 1986Contrary to the R-G weather prediction, dry pavement all the way took this small snowshoe turnout to Hoodoo and then around Hayrick Butte (lunch on the frozen shoreline of Big Lake) in largely acceptable snow conditions. On the return, a side-slip on ice elicited a brief show of snow-tantrums by one of the group. Successfully skirting the many “killer” tree-wells along the Hayrick Way were Pete Cecil, Betty Macy and leader John Cecil. |
