Island, Link, and Hand Lakes
March 8, 1986
What a nice surprise to find it snowing when we arrived at the Corbet Sno-Park. The road into the lakes had been plowed about ¼ mile so an inch of snow was just fine covering the old snow undersneath.
It was a warm, cloudy, snowy day!
We first made a loop into Island Lake, skied past Link Lake and after lunch skied down into Hand Lake. We continued on down the road to another small lake. At this point the snow turned into alight drizzle and we returned to the cars. We all enjoyed the 6 miles with new snow even if we did get wet.
2nd annual lake loopers were Marion Ellis, Gladys Grancorvitz, Jerry Pergamit, Rachel Major, Diane Schechter, Ruth Wisner and leader Dorothy Leland.
