Chambers Lakes

August 24, 1986

Why do we have to leave at 6 a.m. for a hike? After fifteen miles walking and 200 miles driving everyone knew. The Chambers Lakes were beautiful this warm sunny August 24th day. The trail was very dusty, indicative of little rain this summer, the snow pack deeply melted back and a generally very dry day for a long walk. Conditions were near perfect for a walk to the Chambers Lakes. The group stayed together well and were delightful as well as able to walk a long trip.

Hiking were Kevin Clark, Barb Elsen, Gladys Grancorvitz, Maxine Hall, Lee Howard, John and Shirley Lukacs, Virginia Prouty, Sky Stewart, Jane Tucker, Tom Wiesenfehl, and leaders Mary Ellen West and Vi Johnson.
