Canyon Creek Meadows

July 26, 1986

The Canyon Creek Meadows hike left the South Eugene parking arms promptly at 0800 o’clock. We added our vehicles to an already full parking area at Jack Lake. The hikers in the Meadow included a large group of about 49 people from the Bend Native Plant Society. Our group hiked through the meadow enjoying the wildflowers and beautiful view of Three Fingered Jack. The majority of the group hiked up the ridge at the end of the meadow for a great view of the forest and mountain peaks. A cool wind was blowing across the ridge. Some found a fast way down by sliding on the snow bank.

Those enjoying hiking on this very nice day were Paul and Karen Cohen, Bob Foster, Donna Holland, Carrie McClish, Lindsay Pierce, Dewey Porter, Betty Powell, Virginia Prouty, Fred Schepman, Paula Vehrs, Elinore Wilkerson and leader Hal Busby.
