Delightful weather! After some mix-up at the South Eugene parking lot, Nick, Richard, Fleetwood and I heeded off to meet Ralph at the trailhead. A pleasant hike through the woods, past the lake and up to glorious views on “top” of Mt. Jefferson with some new snow. We passed a few other hikers on the way, however, encountered a brief traffic jam of hikers, back-packers and fishermen on the trail below Marion Lake as we all headed home at the end of the 4^th of July weekend. Hikers included Nick Chrones, Richard Heinzkill, Fleetwood Marge, Ralph Nafziger and leader Bob Nickel.
