Columbia GorgeJune 7-8, 1986This trip was postponed from the previous weekend (and no thanks to the moron who removed the notice from the "Y"). A general sampling of the Gorge: Multnomah/Wahkeena loop; a ford up Oneonta Gorge; Oneonta/Horsetail Falls loop (Lesson learned by 2 Portlanders: rugged terrain, hyper dog, ignored leash-law signs = 1 dog over the cliffs); Beacon Rock; camp at Viento State Park between freeway and railroad; Maryhill Museum and Stonehenge replica; Elowah Falls in Yeon State Park; plus numerous other quick stopos. Weekenders were Bob Foster, Suzanne Steussy, Bonnie Ledford, Allan Sorenson and leader Bert Ewing. |
