Indian Caves above Rigdon Area

Very successful trip! McManigals met hikers at 8:30 a.m. in Eugene and then on to meet leader at his cabin on Salt Creek. After rest break and Tea, group consolidated into two cars and on to area. After some checking to determine right trail, Caves were located and explored. After lunch on top of Caves in perfect weather more caves were discovered but were saved for later when rope would be available. Location of Caves is a secret now between nine people—John and Lenore McManigal, Bill and Donna Eimstadt, Virginia Prouty, Henrietta Richmond, Judy Forell, Ardys Ringsdorf and leader Donn Chase.
