Hardesty/SawtoothMay 4, 1986Due to lack of cooperation by the weather for our Hardesty/June Days, the turnout was small. We combined 2 trips to total 9 people to walk over to Hardesty Mtn. along Sawtooth Ridge. In reality it was a fairly good hiking day — cool, and even a little sun. We met many people on the trail to Mt. June due to an article about the area in that day’s newspaper. The purpose of the Hardesty/June days was to bring attention to the area. Four of the people on this hike were first-timers. Those who braved almost winter kind of weather were Sheri and Eileen Cooper, Lee Hatch, John Cecil, Karen Seidel, Ron Nunemaker, Ted Spencer, Suzanne Steussy and leader Betty Macy. |
