Obsidian Field Days 1986May 17-18, 1986Eleven Obsidians and two nonmembers responded to calls for trail building help during the Saturday segment of 1986’s Obsidian Field Days; ten members and one nonmember turned out on the 2nd day. Work site was the new “Lost Creek” Trail in the Lowell Ranger District being built to enhance hiking opportunities and to provide safer and more convenient parking facilities at the Mt. June/Sawtooth Ridge trailhead. Sterling work and much progress was seen on May 17 by Tom Cawi, John Cecil, Lewis Forsythe, Shirley Froyd, Susan Giordano, Mert Haymand, Dorothy Leland, Mary Millman, Alys Riley, Fred Schepman, Velma Shirk, Helen Smith and Paula Vehrs; and on May 18 by Mary Bridgeman, Tom Cawi, John Cecil, Peter Cecil, Lewis Forsythe, Richard Heinzkill, Bonnie Ledford, Betty Macy, Audrey Malloy, Helen Smith and Mike Wright.
