Eugene-to-Pacific Crest TrailMay 10, 1986A small but very effective crew turned out on a rainy Saturday to initiate the building season on the Eugene-to-Pacific Crest Trail. Avoiding the high country at the beginning of the season, the crew worked at connecting links in the Oregon State Park lands west of Dexter Dam. Parks personnel have constructed several segments, and the Obsidian crew cut through a blackberry patch to complete an important section in Elijah Bristow Park. Mert Heyman, Velma Shirk and leader Jerold Williams were the crew. |
