Hardesty Trail

Retainer logs were placed and back-filled, tread widened and adjusted in various spots and a switchback reworked to improve this much-used hiking trail, marking the culmination of a series of work outings on Hardesty No. 2 Re-Route Project undertaken by Obsidian trail crews over the part year or so. (Now … if we can just keep the gypsy moth, corporate timber interests and other destructive elements at bay and far distant … ! ) Hardesty artisans were Mary Bridgeman, John Cecil, Pete Cecil, Freda Miller, Shirley Froyd, Helen Smith and leader Betty Macy.
