Lowder Mtn

July 13, 1985

It was a sunny, warm day accented by clear blue skies and a view of at least 100 miles. The trip up the mountain was highlighted by Anne Montgomery’s knowledgeable comments and identification of the surrounding terrain and abundant wildflowers. At the top we had lunch and were treated to views of the Three Sisters, Broken Top, Washington, Jefferson, Three Fingered Jack, Hood, etc. On the return trip several of the hikers took a dip in the cool but refreshing waters of Cougar Reservoir.

Hikers included Dan Bates, Merry Gesner, Vi Johnson, Anne Montgomery, Hank Plant, Margo Spielman and leader Tom Woxell.
