Mary’s Peak

April 7, 1985

Our small motorcade ascended this Coast Range beauty spot (4,097 ft.) as far as dry pavement allowed (¾ mile below the parking lot), then trudged through snow, at times knee-deep, to the summit and a hurried, wind-swept lunch spot. Thick fog/mist obscured all hope for views. The return trip via Alsea Falls (picturesque, much water cascading) was appreciated. Knee-deep on Mary’s Peak were Lee Hatch, Betty Macy, Andrea, Ann and Gerald Morsello, and leader John Cecil.
