McKenzie River TrailApril 6, 1985The weather was ideal for a Saturday stroll along the McKenzie River. Fourteen hikers set out from Frissell Creek, walking downstream to the trailhead after encountering too much snow at Trail Bridge to begin there. (Editor’s note: Lunch spot was at the Lost Creek crossing which was an ideal stop on a HOT, but exceedingly enjoyable day. At trail’s end several of us dunked our faces, feet and hands in the cold waters of the McKenzie while we waited for the car shuttle.) The 14 enjoying the sunshine were Ewart and Margaret Baldwin, Ted Castell, Clara Cogburn, Bob Foster, Gladys Grancorvitz, Lawrence Kim, Bonnie Ledford, Gary Marx, Anne Montgomery, Jerry Maul, Bob Reuschlein, Lois Schreiner, Linda Wuls and leader Suzanne Steussy. |
