Beginners Class - E. OdellJanuary 7, 1984This, the first outing of the 1984 Obsidian Winter Trips season was a beginners class held in the meadows and on the hills of East Odell. Five non-Obsidians signed up, four of them being mother-daughter combinations. By day’s end, four had graduated from the Novice Class to Advanced Beginners—the two young ladies cum laude. Moki, already in the AB class, spent the day honing her already considerable cross country skiing skills. Those stoically suffering the inevitable, though unwarranted pain that came along with the falls on rock hard, icy trails were Moki Honz, Ann and Andrea Morsello, Frances and Jenny Nex, and leader Bob Devine. |
