Upper Separation Creek

September 29-30, 1984

Left Eugene at 7 a.m., Saturday. Drove to Foley Ridge and after car shuttle hiked to Substitute Point for lunch. Beautiful view with perfect weather. Hiked on to about a mile beyond Buck Meadows trail, and cross—country to Honey Lake, then on to Cole Chuck Meadow for camp. Nice view of South and Indian Holes.

Sunday, gathered up gear and headed down Separation Creek Trail about 9:20, then had lunch at Separation Lake Trail and out to the car by 2:30 p.m. A bit of light rain Sunday, and mostly overcast—cool for hiking.

Overnighters were Margaret Crosland, Greg Hendrickson, Betty Legris, Maxine Thompson, and leader Frank Moore.
