McKenzie River Paddle Raft
September 22, 1984
Raingear worn over swimsuits or shorts was the dress for this Second Annual
McKenzie River Paddleraft Trip from Paradise to Blue River.
Light showers fell most of the morning, but they didn’t noticeably dampen
the fun experienced by our gung-ho paddlers.
Oregon River Experience guide Jean with her crew of Llew Albrecht, Tom Ellis,
Vi Johnson and Barb Elsen led the ‘flotilla’ of two paddlerafts.
Guide Dan with his crew of Lloyd Mutinsky, Leslie Crone, Kathy Peterson
and leader Joe Lowry brought up the stern.
We warmed in the sun, some changing into warm, dry wool clothes at our lunch
stop along Rainbow Dive.
Everyone wanted to run Redsides Rapid again, but that wasn’t possible.
We’ll have a chance again next year.
Come join the fun!
