Rosary Lakes

July 14, 1984

The trip to Rosary Lakes was one that originally had been scheduled for June, but due to snow level was cancelled. Our group left Eugene at 8:10 a.m. under sunny skies. After parking at Willamette Pass Ski Resort, we started on the trail and then promptly stopped after about a half mile to apply Mosquito repellant. The trail was in excellent condition and upon reaching the first lake, we met a few people who had been camping and fishing. Everyone, agreed to go on to the third lake for our lunch stop. On the way up to the lakes we had views of Odell Lake through the trees. We did see small patches of remaining snow. We had a nice spot by the lake for lunch with some people taking off their shoes and dunking their feet in the cool water. We got back to the cars about three o’clock and stopped in Oakridge for snacks. Participants were Helen Lynch, Saundra Miles, Fred Schepman, Ruth Smith, Phillip Renault, Jody Johnson, and leader Sandra Larsen.
