June 20, 1984
It was a gloomy, very wet day as we headed up McKenzie Highway.
Three persons had been smart; they decided not to go.
Our spirits were raised by the good conversation, but, alas, the weather was too much.
The leader decided to reverse course about a mile from the top.
It didn’t look as though the wildflowers, which are usually out about this
time of year, would be out for about another three weeks.
Hikers were Meg Janecek-Wall, Fred Schepman, Ellen and Bob Tracy, Jan White,
and leader KC Kraft.
