William L. Finley Wildlife RefugeApril 29, 1984Rainy and cold when we left Eugene (and the start of Daylight Saving Time). Maybe that’s why only ten of the 22 who signed up made it on this trip. Surprisingly—no rain and partly cloudy skies made for another good hike around the Refuge. We found owl pellets, ant hills, wild flowers and lots of swallows flying around McFaddens Marsh. The ten congenial hikers who were glad they made it were Bill Brackman, Dee Bray, Judy Forell, Bob Foster, Agnes Gillman, Miki Hutchison, Bee Meserole, Dave Roderick, Tom Weisenfelt, and Dot Leland, leader. |
