Jones TrailMarch 25, 1984The Jones Trail on this Sunday, was wet. Only the bravest or slightly mad would spend their Sunday walking in that weather. Only four did: the same four that always walk in any weather. The trail has been improved and is in good condition for at least the first half of the route. The middle part is walkable, but does have a few logs down. The last part is unknown because we stopped at four miles in. The entire trail is 5.8 miles one way from the Fall Creek Trail which is .8 mile from the entry point at the Bedrock Camp Ground. The round trip hike is 14 miles. It does not appear to be difficult anywhere along. Walking through the forest is lovely, and the predominant color is green moss in abundance. Walking were Barbara Chinn, Maxine Hall, and leaders Vi Johnson and Mary Ellen West. |
