Hardesty Mtn TrailApril 25, 1984Though this important hiking trail is still criss-crossed by 30 or more wind-blown forest giants of between 18" & 42" girth (a result of February storms), Wednesday trail crew’s sterling work session cleared in-between each blockage. The trail (to Crale Creek road crossing), while a Class I obstacle course, IS NOW OPEN to willing foot traffic. The prompt removal of all remaining obstacles by the Forest Service (maybe by emergency funding?) would be a cause of major rejoicing by many Hardesty users. Dedicated and hard-working Wednesday limb hurlers were Mary Bridgeman, Margaret Crosland, Pete Cecil, Betty Legris, Kathy Perkins, Suzanne Steussy, Helen Smith, Mike Wright, and leader John Cecil. |
