No Business Like Snow Business

Fifty people enjoyed John Kocher’s beautiful, but too-brief program “There’s No Business Like Snow Business” at the March 30th potluck. John knows his subject! An avid skier for most of his life, his winter slide collection covers several countries and a period of twenty-five years. The thirty minute program was accompanied by some fine instrumental music. As soon as the lights came back on, all of us were afflicted with second thoughts about spring. Other events that evening were the fire-side log which rolled against the damper, filling the main room with smoke, and the successful advent of decaffeinated coffee. A twenty-cup pot of it was drained while half of the regular coffee went untouched.
